“God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.”

Certainly! Here’s a Bible study on Psalm 67:7 (KJV):

Psalm 67:7 (KJV) says, “God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.”

Context: To understand the meaning of this verse, it’s important to consider the context of the entire psalm. Psalm 67 is a psalm of praise and prayer for God’s blessings and for the spreading of His salvation to all nations. The psalmist begins by asking for God’s mercy and blessings upon His people, and then goes on to express a desire for the nations to know and worship God.

God’s blessings: The psalmist declares with confidence that God will bless His people. This speaks to the faithfulness and goodness of God. Throughout the Bible, we see God’s willingness to bless His children and provide for their needs. This verse reminds us that God is the source of all blessings, and we can trust in His faithfulness to bless us according to His perfect plan.

Universal reverence: The second part of the verse states that “all the ends of the earth shall fear him.” This refers to the fear or reverence of God that extends to all nations. The psalmist envisions a time when the knowledge of God’s power and authority will be widespread, and people from every corner of the earth will recognize and honor Him. It reflects a vision of global worship and recognition of God’s sovereignty.

God’s plan for salvation: The psalmist’s desire for all nations to fear God is rooted in the understanding that God’s salvation is not limited to one particular group or ethnicity. Throughout the Bible, God’s plan for redemption and salvation is revealed as inclusive, encompassing all people. This verse hints at the universal nature of God’s redemptive plan, where all nations will have the opportunity to know and revere Him.

Application: As believers, we can draw several lessons from this verse. Firstly, we can trust in God’s faithfulness to bless us. We should have confidence in His provision and seek His blessings in our lives. Secondly, we should have a heart for the nations, desiring that people from all walks of life would come to know and fear God. We can actively participate in spreading the good news of God’s salvation to those around us and support missions and evangelism efforts. Lastly, we should recognize that God’s plan for salvation extends beyond our own community or nation. We should embrace diversity and unity, celebrating the different cultures and peoples of the world, while striving for a global reverence for God.
