Psalm 64, as found in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, is a prayerful psalm attributed to King David. It consists of ten verses and expresses David's plea for protection against his enemies and their wicked schemes.
In this psalm, David begins by crying out to God, asking Him to hear his voice and preserve his life from the threats of the wicked (verse 1). He describes the actions of his enemies, who devise cunning plans and shoot at him from hiding (verse 2). David laments their evil intentions, saying they encourage each other in their wicked schemes and think their actions will go unnoticed (verses 3-4). However, he believes that God will bring them to justice, as their own schemes will backfire and cause their downfall (verses 5-8).
