Song of Solomon 8:8
We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

The phrase “little sister” points to a young woman not yet ready for marriage. In ancient Israel, breasts were a sign of maturity and readiness for marital love. The “day when she shall be spoken for” is the time when a suitor comes to seek her hand. The family’s question shows their care and responsibility. They do not leave her alone; they plan how to protect and prepare her.
