And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.

God’s blessings are not meant to be kept only for ourselves. When God prospers us, others may see His work in our lives and be drawn to Him. The queen’s gifts were a response to what God had done for Solomon. Our own giving can be a response to God’s goodness to us. We can ask ourselves whether our lives reflect God’s wisdom in a way that attracts others to seek Him. We can also consider whether we give generously and cheerfully, as the queen did, or whether we hold back out of fear or selfishness. May we learn to give honor to God and to others with open hands.
