Jeremiah 26:6

Then wil I make this house like Shiloh, and wil make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth. Jeremiah 26:6 (KJV)

Jeremiah 26:6 is a verse from the book of Jeremiah in the Old Testament. It belongs to a larger passage in which the prophet delivers a solemn message from the Lord to the people of Judah and Jerusalem. The warning is clear: if the people do not repent and turn back to God, judgment and destruction will come upon them.

The purpose of this stark declaration was to awaken the people of Jerusalem to the gravity of their sins and to urge them to return to the Lord.

Unfortunately, the leaders and the people of Judah rejected Jeremiah’s message. They silenced him, leading to his persecution and imprisonment. Their refusal to heed the warning serves as a sobering reminder of the consequences of hard‑heartedness toward God’s call to repentance.
