The chapter also mentions a conspiracy among the men of Anathoth, Jeremiah’s hometown, who plan to kill him. God promises to punish them for their wickedness.
The chapter ends with Jeremiah pleading for justice against his enemies and asking God to take vengeance on them. He places his trust in God’s righteous judgment.
