Psalms 104:20

Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

Context

Psalm 104 is a creation psalm that praises God as the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things. In this verse, the psalmist declares that God Himself makes darkness, and it becomes night. The verse affirms God’s direct control over the cycle of day and night. Darkness is not an accident or a force opposed to God; He brings it about.
