• b. Seeking God’s counsel – Rather than depending solely on human wisdom, believers are urged to seek the Lord’s guidance in all matters. Proverbs 3:5‑6 reminds us to trust the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding; when we do, He promises to direct our paths.
• c. The danger of forgetfulness – Israel’s neglect of God’s deeds and counsel brought serious consequences. Likewise, when we forget God’s works or ignore His guidance, we risk making unwise choices, falling into sin, and losing spiritual focus. Regularly meditating on Scripture and staying connected with God through prayer helps guard against such forgetfulness.

Practical application follows:

• a. Reflect on God’s faithfulness – Take intentional time to recall and record moments when God answered prayers, provided needs, or delivered from trouble. Sharing these testimonies reinforces gratitude.
• b. Seek divine wisdom before decisions – Approach important choices with prayerful dependence on Scripture, asking the Holy Spirit for direction and being willing to wait for His answer.
• c. Cultivate gratitude – Develop a habit of thanking God for His works, maintaining a thankful heart in both blessings and challenges. Expressing gratitude acknowledges His continual presence and provision in our lives.
