Which made heauen and earth, the Sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth trueth for euer: Psalms 146:6 (KJV)

is:

which keepeth truth for ever: Psalms 146:6 (KJV)

“Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth forever.”

Context of Psalm 146: Psalm 146 is one of the songs of praise and worship known as the “Hallelujah Psalms.” This particular psalm exalts and encourages the people to put their trust in God rather than relying on human strength or resources. It emphasizes the greatness and faithfulness of God as the one who created everything and keeps His promises forever.

“Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is” highlights the sovereignty and power of God as the Creator of all things. It encompasses the entire universe, including the heavens, the earth, and the vastness of the sea. The psalmist acknowledges God as the source of all creation, emphasizing His supremacy over everything that exists.

“Which keepeth truth forever” focuses on the enduring nature of God’s faithfulness and truth. The Hebrew word for “truth” can also be rendered as “faithfulness” or “reliability,” showing that God remains steadfast and trustworthy through all generations.

As we navigate life’s challenges and uncertainties, we can draw strength from the truth that the same God who spoke the universe into existence is the One who sustains and keeps us. We can rely on His steadfast love and faithfulness, knowing that He is eternally trustworthy. This verse invites us to shift our focus from the transient and limited resources of this world to the omnipotent and eternal God who cares for His creation.
