Psalms 22:31
“They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.”
Context
Psalm 22 is a Messianic psalm attributed to King David. It is a poetic expression of deep distress, followed by a confident affirmation of God’s faithfulness and deliverance. This particular verse, Psalm 22:31, concludes the psalm with a note of hope and anticipation.

Psalm 22 is a prophetic psalm that finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Jesus quoted the opening verse of this psalm while on the cross, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46). The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus accomplished God’s salvation for humanity, fulfilling the promise of deliverance that is anticipated throughout the psalm.
