Psalms 89:27

“Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.”

Context:Psalm 89 is a psalm of Ethan the Ezrahite, praising the steadfast love and faithfulness of God. The psalmist reflects on God’s covenant with David and the promise that his descendants will have an enduring kingdom. In verse 27, the psalmist speaks of God’s chosen one, who will be exalted above earthly kings.
