Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Context
Revelation 5:12 is part of the Apostle John’s vision of heaven recorded in the Book of Revelation. The proclamation begins with a declaration of worthiness attributed to the Lamb. Power: Jesus Christ possesses all power and authority. He has triumphed over sin, death, and the forces of evil. As the resurrected and exalted Lord, He exercises supreme power over all creation.
Riches: This refers not only to material wealth but also to the spiritual abundance and blessings that come through a relationship with Christ. In Him, believers find true spiritual riches and eternal inheritance.
Wisdom: Jesus is the embodiment of divine wisdom. In Him, all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. Through His teachings, believers gain access to divine wisdom that guides their lives.
Strength: Jesus is the source of strength and enables believers to face trials, challenges, and temptations. His strength is made perfect in their weakness.
Honour: Jesus is the one who is highly esteemed and honored. He is the Son of God and worthy of all honor and reverence.
Glory: Jesus radiates divine glory, reflecting His heavenly nature and majesty. He is the embodiment of God’s glory.
Blessing: The Lamb is the source of all blessings. Through Him, believers receive the forgiveness of sins, salvation, and the abundant life promised by God.
Biblical connections
The worthiness of the Lamb is directly tied to His sacrificial death, and the worship He receives is a response to that finished work. This theme resonates with the broader New Testament teaching that Christ’s death and resurrection secure salvation for all who believe, making Him worthy of universal praise.
