2 Chronicles Chapter 1

Summery

**2 Chronicles 1 Summary (KJV):**

In 2 Chronicles 1, Solomon, the son of David, became the king of Israel. He established his authority by consolidating his power and strengthening his kingdom. One of the first acts he undertook was to gather all the leaders of Israel, including the captains of the army and the heads of families, to seek guidance from God.

Solomon and the people went to the high place at Gibeon to offer sacrifices to the Lord. During this time, God appeared to Solomon in a dream and said, "Ask what I shall give thee." Solomon humbly acknowledged God's great favor upon his father David and expressed his desire for wisdom and knowledge to govern the people of Israel justly.

Pleased with Solomon's request, God not only granted him wisdom but also promised to bless him with riches, wealth, and honor beyond any other king before or after him. Solomon returned to Jerusalem and gathered vast wealth, including gold and precious stones.
