Isaiah 60, in the King James Version of the Bible, portrays a vision of the future glory of Zion, the holy city of God. In this chapter, Isaiah describes a time when darkness will cover the earth, but the light of God’s glory will rise upon Jerusalem. The chapter begins with a call for the people to arise and shine, for their light has come and the glory of the Lord is upon them.
