“The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.”

Psalm 25:9 (KJV) says:“The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.”

Here, David, the author of this psalm, acknowledges God’s guidance and instruction for the meek.

The Meek:The verse begins by emphasizing the character of the individuals who will receive God’s guidance and teaching. The “meek” refers to those who are humble, gentle, and submissive in spirit.

God’s Guidance:The verse assures that God will guide the meek in judgment. This guidance extends to various aspects of life, including decision-making, discernment, and understanding God’s ways.

Teaching His Way:In addition to guidance, God promises to teach His way to the meek. This implies a deeper level of instruction and insight into His truth and righteousness.

What can we learn from this verse?

  • a. Humility: The meekness mentioned in this verse highlights the importance of humility before God.
  • b. Trust in God’s Guidance: As believers, we can have confidence that God will guide us.
  • c. Seeking God’s Instruction: The verse encourages us to seek God’s teaching actively.
  • d. God’s Care for the Meek: This verse highlights God’s special concern for the meek.
