In 2 Chronicles 2, King Solomon plans to build a temple for the Lord. He sends a message to King Hiram of Tyre, requesting skilled workers and materials for the construction. Solomon acknowledges that the temple he intends to build must be magnificent because the Lord is greater than all gods. He lists the necessary resources, including cedar and cypress wood, and asks Hiram to send a skilled craftsman named Huram-abi.
Solomon offers to provide the workers with food and supplies, and he assures Hiram that the Lord has chosen him to build the temple. Hiram responds favorably to Solomon's request and agrees to supply the materials and workers. He praises the Lord and sends Huram-abi, a craftsman skilled in working with gold, silver, bronze, iron, stone, and wood. Hiram also sends cedar and cypress logs to Solomon.
